They grind up Cafe D'arte, which is a good start: quality beans make screwing things up harder. But lightening service and pleasant conversation isn't why I spend my hard-earned dough on take-out coffee, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE COFFEE! and Espresso Ave doesn't disappoint. And every time I went the staff was friendly and chatty in just the right amount. It gets compared to another Everett shop with multiple locations that starts with a "B" but I tried them and they don't stand up.įirst off it's a double window drive up, and every time I went they had two employees, which is good because trying to work two lines by yourself makes for slow service. ![]() Wrongo: Espresso Avenue not only lived up to the hype, it exceeded it. So I did a little google search after trying several outlets in Everett, WA and coming up disappointed, and one of the top-rated in town was a drive-up, which usually means two things: Bad coffee and reviewers with no taste buds. Even in San Francisco it takes a little sniffing to suss out a good cup, and what's up with serving coffee in those cereal-bowl sized cups anyway? be wary and patient if you're looking for a quality cup of 'spro. Unfortunately, once you go outside the city limits of Seattle, WA you have to. OK I'll confess to being a coffee snob, but hey, it's the little things that make life enjoyable, and for me a good cup of espresso is high on that list.
